The new Slices Mega!
The Slices Mega were at the French bouldering championships! Minéral Spirit’s club hall in Valence hosted the French bouldering championships on 26 and 27 February, with ArtLine, partner of the French Federation (FFME), as sponsor.

Minéral Spirit’s club hall in Valence hosted the French bouldering championships on 26 and 27 February, with ArtLine, partner of the French Federation (FFME), as sponsor. The best climbers in France battled it out on 4 problems, one of which was set using ArtLine holds: a great opportunity to show off some of our new arrivals on the ground (well, on the wall)!
Men podium
In the men’s competition, Mejdi Schalck took the win ahead of Paul Jenft and Léo Avezou in second and third places respectively.
With its brand-new Abyss and Mega Slices, the ArtLine problem was very demanding: starting off on two Abysses, there was a dyno to Mega Slices, then a lot of balance was required on micro-holds, followed by a jump to the final jug.
women podium
As for the women, Oriane Bertone took the honours, never seeming in difficulty. She was joined on the podium by Selma Elhadj Mimoune in second, and Flavy Cohaut in third.
The four problems tested both their dynamic and precision skills on varied holds, where big holds featured strongly, especially the ArtLine volumes.
